Hi, I’m Silke!
In the small town where I grew up, mental health wasn’t something that was widely discussed or recognized. I often felt ashamed of feelings I didn’t yet have the language to name, until I found a great therapist to help me make sense of my inner world. Since then, I’ve dedicated my career to being someone who helps others feel a little less alone.
Over the past five years, most of my work has centered on individuals who have experienced extended periods of incarceration. I’ve seen firsthand how societal stigma affects mental health and am committed to serving communities that are often misunderstood. I am especially passionate about working with LGBTQIA+ individuals and offer a space centered on safety and authenticity.
Many of my clients live with anxiety, dysregulated mood, depression, and trauma. I often reference Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing in the therapy room, while utilizing evidence-based strategies to remain flexible to each client’s needs.
When I’m out of the office, I enjoy spending time with my pets, golfing with my fiancé, and visiting my nearest local coffee shop!
